Monday Book Review-Talent

talent

This book has a great message about change.  Here are the 6 points that I learned from the book:

  1. In order to win everyone will need to be Me, Inc.  We must all consider ourselves self employed.  Even if we are working we must think about ourselves as a Brand.
  2. Business will be obsolete in 15-20 years.  If we know this now, we must get ourselves prepared to work in a different type of environment.  Goals must be completed and everyone will have show leadership skills.  Big Box Companies will disappear and the trend is already starting.
  3. Learning must never cease.  In order to be valuable and maintain our worthiness, we must remember that school is never out for the pro!
  4. The number 1 industry in the US that employs the most people is TEMP Services. Since 2001, this field has exploded.  This field will continue to expand as more companies go to a independent contractor system.
  5. Have the attitude of You can change the world.  Projects that matter are so important now more than ever.  Make a Difference that is the thought of the day.  Nothing Succeeds Like Failure Feels.
  6. You Do Have he Power!!  The greatest sorry is to hear life changing information and decide you can’t implement it because you lack the power.  No one has to give you permission take it REALITY, IS THIS- if you refuse to sale yourself, your product, service or ideal, YOU WILL DIE ON THE VINE

Do yourself a favor and read: TALENT.

Monday Book Review-Rainmaker

rainmaker

This was a very good book.  Here are the top 6 tips that I learned:

  1. Don’t fear rejection that’s how rainmakers are made.  We need to begin to expect rejection and be ready to deal with everything that comes our way.  Without the ability to deal with the rejection.
  2. Rainmakers have not competition.  When we operate in our “Sweet Spot” we should know that we have nothing that can stop you.
  3. Schedule an appointment and sale your customer.  Assume the sale and don’t forget to ask for the sale.  90% of sales people don’t ask.  When someone agrees to meet with you decide in advance that they will purchase everything you have pre-determined for them to have.  Don’t doubt your skill  or their ability to purchase.
  4. Give the extra’s to build a life-long relationship.  When people like you, they will be doing business with a friend and suddenly the pressure is off.
  5. Fish where the BIG Fish are!!!  Don’t be afraid or ashamed of what you do for a living.  It is honorable to sell, don’t make it bad.  Give good thoughts to how you show up and others will believe what you think.
  6. You are a Rainmaker, make it RAIN! When you believe, you can do it!!!!!

Monday Book Review-42 Rules of Marketing

42-Rules-Of-Marketing-SDL331301400-1-add5d

This was a good marketing book with multiple tips to help a business person market their business.  Here are the top 6 tips that I learned:

  1. Rules are meant to be broken.  If you spend time following marketing gurus, you will find that most of them make up rules that work for them.  I have learned what worked for them, may not work for you.  You must be willing to break the rules.
  2. Marketing must result in sales.  I have tried so many things to market my business. What I have realized if it does not cause someone to sign up or purchase, it was not a good ideal.  Please try various things but be willing to cancel the marketing if nothing results because of your marketing.
  3. Be consistent.  It’s so easy to try something one time.  The magic happens when you do something over and over and you get known for that thing.  If you want to be known for your work, do it consistently.
  4. Develop your own rules to follow.  No one can explain or make people understand like you do.  While you are watching others succeed, define success for yourself.  Decide how you work best, it must good for you.  You must give yourself the permission to change the rules to meet your needs and help you find your success.
  5. Visibility is key.  You must be seen if you truly want to make a difference in the world.  If you are the BOMB and no one knows, you will BLOW up by yourself!
  6. Make them laugh!  Laughter is so important.  It is one of the best ways to get people to get comfortable with you.  When you get people comfortable with you, they will listen to you.  When they listen, your important information is digested by them and it allows them the opportunity to join you or buy from you.  Spend time making people laugh.

Go and read this book and watch your marketing grow: 42 RULES OF MARKETING.

Friday Movie Review- A Dog’s Purpose

adogspurpose

This movie was very good and I was quite surprised.  Here are the 6 lessons I learned from the movie:

1.Have fun everyday.  The dog longed to have fun by playing with the owner.  Take time to have some fun everyday even if it is just minutes per day.

2.Sometimes the fun leave your life.  It’s during these times that we gain great clarity.  When the fun leaves us it forces us to get bitter or better.  Which will you choose?

3. Be here NOW.  I think most of you know that I truly believe you can not wast 1 minute of your life.  This statement  rings true on so many levels!!  Resolve you will be here NOW–Get in the present and stay in the present.

4. The worst thing is being ALONE.  Sometime syou are alone because you desire to be alone.  Other times you are ALONE because of separation due to death, divorce or a decision to split.  Find out how much aloneness you desire and fill your life with the people you love.

5. Our purpose might change.  It so interesting to see as I get older things that I thought made a huge difference to me, now are not that important.  I really see the reason why our purpose might change, it’s because we change.  We never stay the same and our thought and intelligence changes as well.  So accept the changes that you presented daily.

6. You can find true love.  Some people find love early in life and live happily ever after and other people might find it later in life.  Either way just find your TRUE LOVE!

Monday Book Review-Ish

ish.book.jpg

This is little book was so profound! Here are the 6 lessons that I learned:

1.Do you have a hobby you like to do?? Ramon loved to draw.  See what skill you enjoy doing and it brings you joy.

2. Do you “buckle” when someone dislikes what you are doing??  It’s not easy to take a hit from someone when you feel like you are doing your best. We can’t allow anyone to derail us from our goals.

3.People are watching you. As you go about day to day, you would be surprised who is looking at what you are doing. People that you would not except to support you, are many times wishing you well.

4. Your trash is another person’s treasure.  We might see the value in everything that we are doing.  Be willing to take a compliment.  Look for the good in yourself and others.

5. Ishly allows your ideals to flow freely.   When you stop worrying about things being perfect you can relax and be creative.

6. Some things can’t be captured, simply savored.  Guess what you might not always win.  You might not end up on top.  We must know that the answer can be YES or LEARN.

Awesome thought provoking book to challenge you, go get: ISH

Monday Book Review-Raving Fans

raving-fan

This book teaches you how to develop a group of people who would never think of going anywhere else but where you provide goods and services.  They are called Raving Fans!

Here are the 6 lessons I received from reading this book:

  1. In life everyone has a choice of who they patronize.  Most people take for granted the relationship that people give to their money and how they spend it.  I think times are changing and people are more aware of where their money goes.  Personally I am trying very hard to shop at stores that stand for something and have good outreach programs to the community. I want to find doctors and service providers that know me and I am not just a number to them.  It does not matter if you spend 100 dollars or 100 million dollars per year, your money has value and you give to those who you believe should have it.
  2. Find out what you want.  When you go into business, decide what do you expect from staff, customers and even yourself.  Many times people don’t spend the time thinking about the feel of their business. I suggest you know what a person will experience when they use your services because your reputation will go ahead of you.
  3. Be human and admit if you make mistakes.  Sometimes you might not always get things right, take some time to find out how things when wrong and what you can do to make things better.
  4. Find out what the customers want.  It is so good to ask people from time to time, how you are doing in their opinion.  How can I make things better??  What makes you come to my store??
  5. Be ready to deal with the answers.  Many times people will not give you the whole truth.  Tell people that you want to know their good and bad experiences.
  6. Deliver plus one.  When people tell you want that want give them that plus one.  Go above and beyond their desired results.  Always WOW people with your little extras.

Monday Book Review-Strugglepreneur

struggle

This book has been a great read for anyone starting or managing a business.  Here are the 6 tips that I learned from the book:

  1. Struggle is optional.  Everyone in business do not find themselves struggling. Business is many times thrown together and items are overlooked.  You can have a thriving business if you do your due diligence.   Sometimes business can be the very best thing that has happen to your life.
  2. Know why you are struggling.  If you find yourself struggling in business, there is a reason.  It’s your duty to find out what is wrong so that you can fix it.  Some struggles are rooted in bad information given at the start of the business.  Take time to go back and fix those things that hinder you.
  3. You must plan for great results. If you keep your hand on what is going on monthly, weekly and daily, you can catch things before they become out of hand. If you plan for what you are going to do in the future some mistakes can be avoided.
  4. One of the quick fixes: Get a business address. Don’t use your home address for your business.  There are a variety of ways to get a business address.  Fix out what is the best option for you.
  5. Another quick fix: Get a virtual assisted phone number.  Technology has advance so much that now it is so easy to get a number to make sure your company is professional at all times.
  6. Final quick fix: Register your business with google maps.  This is another tip that helps legitimize your business.  Simple things that you can do to help your business.

Monday Book Review-Stuck in Neutral

stuckinneutral.jpg

This book was excellent.  Here are my 6 lessons that I took away from the book.

  1. Without God you will spend your entire life stuck!.  The principles shared in the book really give you insight on what happens when you go it alone without God’s will being followed in your life.
  2. With confidence anything is possible.  Many times in life we allow the down times to take away our confidence.  When we build our confidence everything in our life gets better.  Spend some time learning how to grow your confidence in life.
  3. Be thankful!!  One of the greatest prayers of our life is thank-you.  Cortney does a great job explaining that humility breed attitude and gratitude breeds humility. So many people go thru life with an entitled mindset.  I think people don’t really understand what they have.  I believe if everyone had to visit or live in a 3rd world country, they would return so thankful for everything they have obtained.
  4. No Sacrifice-No Success! Wow this point was tough to really think about because in this microwave society that we live in, it seems like success is given to people overnight.  I know everyone pays a price but social media can make it look like opportunities fall into the right hands everyday.  We have to be so careful that we don’t compare ourselves to anyone who looks like they got it all. You have no ideal what they have went thru to have it all.
  5. Make Adjustment-Not Excuses–Clever!!! I which everyone in the world would put this in their vocabulary and their mindset.  If we just did some adjustments to the plan and watched how things change.  We could conquer so many issues.
  6. Appreciate your haters.  This ideal is so true because in life the haters keep you on your toes.  You find yourself always attempting to get better everyday because someone might have said something that was negative about you.  Haters are truly motivation to do better work every day.

Cortney Westbrook is a great entrepreneur that I had the privilege to meet in November 2016 at the http://www.ilovebusinessconference.com.  He is new to Dallas and has great plans to network and grow his business in the area.  his Up Together Empowerment Conference is coming up on July 13 & 14, 2017 and I encourage you to join me there.  Check out more information at: http://www.uptogetherconference.com

Keep Climbing YOUR Staircase

rizzi-spiral-staircase-3

Everyone has a staircase they are walking, running or crawling on everyday. Where does your staircase lead??   The secret is you must know where you are going.

You must be on a journey, a trip you might say, that inspires and motivates you. When the stairs start to curve and become crooked, you must have something that helps you stay on the staircase. When the feeling of excitement leaves you, does your final destination have enough grit to hold you??

If you want to make sure you keep on climbing you need to do the following steps.

  1. Revisit your Belief DAILY.  Keep remembering what you believe and why you believe it.
  2. Vision yourself reaching the top of staircase–Obtaining that goal you so richly desire.
  3. Figure out a game plan.  It’s time to detail out exactly what you need to do.  First do the big goal then break it down into bite-size pieces.
  4. Now it is time to get to work.  Work on your game plan everyday.
  5. Correct as you go.  As you work on your game plan you will see some correction and learn some better ways to do things.  When you learn new things, don’t be afraid to make corrections quickly.
  6. Never ever GIVE UP!!  You must know that you must KEEP CLIMBING YOUR STAIRCASE.

Keep Believing Yourself

keep-believing-yourself

Keep Believing Yourself.  Do you see that I said KEEP–that means that you Believe in yourself to start with.  This might be a little premature because I have found that some people don’t believe that they are capable of anything.  I wish everyone had the unshakable belief in themselves.

At times in your life you might lose your belief due to lack of activity or when things go wrong.  I have been experience a lowered belief in 2016 because I decided that I wanted to go without an actual coach on a monthly basis.  This has been a tough 11 months, but what I realized today is I gave my power of belief to my coach in the past.  Today I took that POWER back, I confirmed that most of my coaching confirmed my personal ideals for my life that have worked in the past.  Not only that issue but prior to having a coach, I was a BEAST in business.  I was crushing it!!!!  What happened???  I have been in receive mode for 11 years.  It’s time to come out of the shadows and become the Woman of God that HE intended for me to become.

Never ever give your POWER away.  That feeling in your gut that keeps telling you to do something or that you are right, is TRUE.  Always TRUST your GUT!!!!  I am so tired of people telling you something and you know that is not True for you but you believe them because they are the EXPERT.  Guess what????  You are the EXPERT in your life, never forget it!!!!

I have always known that I was meant to lead the masses with my motivation and message of hope.  It’s time to reclaim my Belief and my Actions will return to the FIREBALL I once was in the past.  I my wish for you to KEEP BELIEVING YOURSELF.
