Taking Time To Rest

resting

Taking time to rest is essential to your overall health. I have taken most of the summer off from social media.  Although I have participated some in posting, I am only posting about 1/3 of what I usually post.

Here are my TOP 6 reasons to rest:

  1. Your body needs it.  I had no ideal how much I had been doing until I sat back and looked at what I do in a normal day.  I must say it is a lot.  So rest is definitely needed in my life.
  2. Time away brings CLARITY.  It was so good to see what is working for me and what can be tweeted or made better.
  3. You can see other things.  I have spent so much time this summer studying other interests.  You see when you have so many interests it is hard to learn about other things when you are so busy.
  4. You have time to organize.  I spent time this summer, throwing out a lot of things that are not useful for me any more.  It was great to get rid of so much junk.
  5. You can develop new friendships.  I took some time to get to know some other people this summer. It has been so much fun!
  6. You get recommitted to your goal.  I had time to make sure that I was committed to continue going forward.

Movie Review-Bad Moms

badmoms

This movie was SO funny!!!  I enjoyed it with my husband and he thought it was funny also, sometimes I think I just laugh at everything, so it is great to get another perspective.

These are the 6 lessons that I want to share from this movie:

  1. All moms are busy during this time.  I don’t know if moms realize how much they do everyday.  It’s time to give yourself some credit for being a great juggler of our time.
  2. Everyone needs someone.  I find that so many people live behind their computers with the work from home culture that we have now and that is not a good thing.  Depression can easily consume you when you have no human interaction.
  3. Don’t do thinks you don’t like.  This one might take some time, but it is proven if you dislike something you are not doing and giving your best, so what is the point.  Work on making sure you are effective at all you do.
  4. Raise STRONG Kids.  In today’s world, love is over looked many times and we need to make sure that our kids can be okay in the cruel world.
  5. Children are a GIFT.  Do you believe this??  Do you show this to them??  They need to hear you say I love you!!
  6. Everyone needs a night to PARTY!!!  Even the most reserved people can “let loose” when presented a safe place to party.  Make time for your friends.

Monday Book Review-How 10% of the People Get 90% of the Pie

10%

This book is a powerful one and truly an eye-opening.

These are top 6 lessons I learned from this book:

  1. Belief is half the battle.  Some many people operate with a lack of belief.  They might say that they want this or that but honestly they don’t believe that they will get it.  If you really want something it’s time to start to believe that you can get something.
  2. Communication is MOSTLY non-verbal.  Your actions prove if you really want something or have something.  If you watch the wealthy like I do you will realize that they operate in confidence everyday.
  3. Change is ever present.  Guess what???  Even though change is hard, it is necessary and the successful person is willing and ready everyday to make the changes needed.
  4. Deserve level is never questioned.  The successful know that they deserve a change to be great and receive anything they desire.
  5. Be your own commercial.  Successful people don’t wait for others to showcase their talents.  They showcase their talents and use their gifts.
  6. Listen to the GURUS.  Successful people learn from the ones who went before them.  They know if someone has already experienced the struggle, it was for your benefit.  Success leaves clues and it is our job to get the clues and use them.

Monday Book Review-The Choice is Your

the-choice-is-yours-john-c-maxwell_1

This book is a reminder that everything in life is about our choice. If you were magically given all of your desires, you still would have to make a choice to which one to pick first.  Our choice is everywhere, don’t take it for granted when presented with opportunities.

The following 16 areas are identified as key to making better decisions in your life:

1.Attitude, 2. Character, 3. Values, 4. Self-Discipline, 5.Commitment, 6. Teachability, 7.Initiative, 8. Passion, 9. Courage, 10. Responsibility, 11. Growth, 12. Relationships, 13. Communication, 14. Encouragement, 15. Servanthood, and 16. Love.

All of these areas can be game-changers if you allow them to be.  You see if you want lasting change, you must make good choices.   Is it easy to make good choices???  Maybe or maybe not, it is according to what you call easy.  I truly believe that any choice can be easy when we change our mindset.

Let’s decide NOW: THE CHOICE IS YOURS.

Movie Review-Jason Bourne

jason.bourne

This movie is sure to excite you.  It is extremely eventful and keeps your attention.

Here are my TOP 6 lessons from this movie:

1.Sometimes you have to do your job with no feelings attached.  We all have duties that we might dislike but find the strength to do what is needed.

2. You will be followed.  If you do good or if you do bad, everyone will be watching you.  Decide what your story will be.

3. All that matters is staying alive.  Guess what that is so true in business and life.  If you can figure out what you need to stay alive just keep repeating it over and over.

4.Nothing is really private.  Have we not learned from so many different situations that the right computer hackers can get any information that they desire.

5.Accept that you will have enemies–One of the biggest breakthrough’s you can have is know that everyone will not like you and it is okay.

6.Your secrets will come out.  Be very careful about keeping secrets they always have a way of coming out and being exposed.

Go see JASON BOURNE and make up your life lessons.

Commit

commit

This word-COMMIT is the one you need to believe and implement in our to met every goal you want.

C-Consistent–It is super important to figure out actionable steps that you can do on a consistent basis.  The steps are not as important as the consistency.  You know what, many people start a blog every month but they don’t stay consistent.  I believe if you start something finish it, don’t leave it hanging.  If you have to close something down tell people that you are moving to another area.

O-Opportunity–I have learned that opportunity is truly everywhere.  The trouble is we don’t see ourselves getting opportunities.  I want you to believe that you are worthy of everything thing that comes your way.  Think of this-what if this goes great for me.  Change your mindset about opportunity.  I think opportunities are chasing me down.

M-Motivation–It is so easy to maintain motivation when things are good.  I want you to maintain motivation when things are not good.  When you don’t know where money is going to come from, stay motivated.  When you get a bad health report, stay motivated.  When your relationship is in bad shape, stay motivated.  Science tells us that optimism is how we beat the odds.

M-Money–I know people say you should not speak about money, however I have learned over the past couple of years that our lack of attention to money causes us not to attract it.  What you focus on expands.   Decided today that my money goal will happen and watch how you get into action to make you goal come true.

I-Interests–Make sure that you have some interests to keep you busy.  You see the brain is developed and keep strengthened when you engage it with new information, writing, ready and learning.  If you find your life has gotten boring it is time to find some new interests.

T-Transmute–Turn away and never return to your bad habits.  You see when you transmute, you can’t return to your old state of being.  Just trust your gut and get into new actions.

Monday Book Review-Live R.I.C.H.

rich

This book is an excellent business playbook!!!  The whole premise is living a set of core values recognized by you and designed by you is when you LIVE R.I.C.H.  Dina defines R.I.C.H.-Respect, Integrity, Customer Focus and Having Fun In The Process.  I LOVE this definition because this truly how I strive to run my business.  I wish every business will embrace this concept.

These are my 6 tips from this book:

  1. Code of Values-every person, family and company need to define their code of values prior to operating their life or business. This will help guide you when you have tough decisions to make and the general day to day operations.
  2. Everyone’s important-some of the best stories involve the company allowing others to share their thoughts, ideas and concerns.  It’s true that the CEO might not be able to see everything that can help the growth of the company, everyone has value.
  3. Attitude is everything-nothing can replace a great attitude.  A good attitude can cover most problems and it can redirect you to a better way of handling any issue.
  4. Bigger is not always better-It is a great goal to have a big company doing big things.  But many times that is not the case, you normally have a big company that is performing average work.  If you can master the small, when you get bigger you can
  5. A tiny card-this company has a wonderful vision that is  known  by every  employee has a tiny card.  What an amazing ideal to ensure that all staff follow the code of values.
  6. A compassionate company-what an ideal making sure every employee feels like they are appreciated and even loved.  I am so excited that I try to show that everyday of my life to all that I interact with as I run a compassionate company.

Do yourself a favor and learn how LIVE R.I.C.H!

Movie Review-Ghostbusters

ghostbusters

I bet you are wondering what lessons could I have possibly got from Ghostbusters??  This movie was fun and exciting to me because I love things that go out of the box with imagination.

Here the are 6 lessons I picked up from Ghostbusters:

1.Usual things may happen at times.  It’s not too far from reality to say that strange and unexplained things do happen in our lives sometimes that leave us saying how did that happen??  I have learned not to question things anymore, I just accept things as they occur.

2.Your past may haunt you.  It is so important to know that for every action there is a reaction.  That reaction might not happen immediately but you will see a reaction.  Many times we do some things that are not necessary good in our life and we suffer the consequences.

3. Only you have to believe your experiences.   I am a firm believer that everything you experience will not be accepted by others.  In 2012, I was in a very serious car wreak.  My husband was overly tired as we were driving to Chicago, we went over a 30 foot bridge.  The paramedics stated I should have died on impact based on what the vehicle looked like but God had another plan for me.  As I was being lifted from the wreckage I was being comforted by a blond woman who kept telling you will be alright.  After I got in the ambulance the woman vanished.  I believe that was my guardian angel.  So many people don’t believe but it’s okay I was there and I know I was in my right mind.  So do over explain your experiences, they are for you.

4. Remember to fight.  So many people loose their FIGHT and they give up too soon.  If you believe in something fight for it.

5. Go get back and get your friends.  One of the best lessons in the movie is near the end where one of the ladies-Kristen Wiig goes into the tunnel to get Melissa McCarthy.  I know in my personal life, it is so easy to lose sight of your friendships.  Make a constant effort to maintain and grow friendships.

6.Our fears aren’t real. Sometimes we over imagine what could go wrong.  Take some time and determine what could go right.  I want you to focus on the good things in your life and how we live in our fears a lot of times and most of our fears are fake.  Decide today to understand that our fears aren’t real.

Are You Scared???

scaredAre You SCARED???  Many times I have found myself scares.  Usually it is because of things that never happen.  I true challenge can cause you to be scared.  But when you decide it is time to deal with this fear so I can move ahead it causes you to get some GRIT.

You see when it time to completely change your life, you must do it SCARED!!  That is the only way that you can move ahead.

The pure emotions that you get when you are SCARED, help you get into action.  When you know you have no other options, you will move or be rolled over.

It’s okay to be SCARED.
