Monday Book Review-How 10% of the People Get 90% of the Pie

10%

This book is a powerful one and truly an eye-opening.

These are top 6 lessons I learned from this book:

  1. Belief is half the battle.  Some many people operate with a lack of belief.  They might say that they want this or that but honestly they don’t believe that they will get it.  If you really want something it’s time to start to believe that you can get something.
  2. Communication is MOSTLY non-verbal.  Your actions prove if you really want something or have something.  If you watch the wealthy like I do you will realize that they operate in confidence everyday.
  3. Change is ever present.  Guess what???  Even though change is hard, it is necessary and the successful person is willing and ready everyday to make the changes needed.
  4. Deserve level is never questioned.  The successful know that they deserve a change to be great and receive anything they desire.
  5. Be your own commercial.  Successful people don’t wait for others to showcase their talents.  They showcase their talents and use their gifts.
  6. Listen to the GURUS.  Successful people learn from the ones who went before them.  They know if someone has already experienced the struggle, it was for your benefit.  Success leaves clues and it is our job to get the clues and use them.

Monday Book Review-The Choice is Your

the-choice-is-yours-john-c-maxwell_1

This book is a reminder that everything in life is about our choice. If you were magically given all of your desires, you still would have to make a choice to which one to pick first.  Our choice is everywhere, don’t take it for granted when presented with opportunities.

The following 16 areas are identified as key to making better decisions in your life:

1.Attitude, 2. Character, 3. Values, 4. Self-Discipline, 5.Commitment, 6. Teachability, 7.Initiative, 8. Passion, 9. Courage, 10. Responsibility, 11. Growth, 12. Relationships, 13. Communication, 14. Encouragement, 15. Servanthood, and 16. Love.

All of these areas can be game-changers if you allow them to be.  You see if you want lasting change, you must make good choices.   Is it easy to make good choices???  Maybe or maybe not, it is according to what you call easy.  I truly believe that any choice can be easy when we change our mindset.

Let’s decide NOW: THE CHOICE IS YOURS.

Movie Review-Jason Bourne

jason.bourne

This movie is sure to excite you.  It is extremely eventful and keeps your attention.

Here are my TOP 6 lessons from this movie:

1.Sometimes you have to do your job with no feelings attached.  We all have duties that we might dislike but find the strength to do what is needed.

2. You will be followed.  If you do good or if you do bad, everyone will be watching you.  Decide what your story will be.

3. All that matters is staying alive.  Guess what that is so true in business and life.  If you can figure out what you need to stay alive just keep repeating it over and over.

4.Nothing is really private.  Have we not learned from so many different situations that the right computer hackers can get any information that they desire.

5.Accept that you will have enemies–One of the biggest breakthrough’s you can have is know that everyone will not like you and it is okay.

6.Your secrets will come out.  Be very careful about keeping secrets they always have a way of coming out and being exposed.

Go see JASON BOURNE and make up your life lessons.

Movie Review-Ghostbusters

ghostbusters

I bet you are wondering what lessons could I have possibly got from Ghostbusters??  This movie was fun and exciting to me because I love things that go out of the box with imagination.

Here the are 6 lessons I picked up from Ghostbusters:

1.Usual things may happen at times.  It’s not too far from reality to say that strange and unexplained things do happen in our lives sometimes that leave us saying how did that happen??  I have learned not to question things anymore, I just accept things as they occur.

2.Your past may haunt you.  It is so important to know that for every action there is a reaction.  That reaction might not happen immediately but you will see a reaction.  Many times we do some things that are not necessary good in our life and we suffer the consequences.

3. Only you have to believe your experiences.   I am a firm believer that everything you experience will not be accepted by others.  In 2012, I was in a very serious car wreak.  My husband was overly tired as we were driving to Chicago, we went over a 30 foot bridge.  The paramedics stated I should have died on impact based on what the vehicle looked like but God had another plan for me.  As I was being lifted from the wreckage I was being comforted by a blond woman who kept telling you will be alright.  After I got in the ambulance the woman vanished.  I believe that was my guardian angel.  So many people don’t believe but it’s okay I was there and I know I was in my right mind.  So do over explain your experiences, they are for you.

4. Remember to fight.  So many people loose their FIGHT and they give up too soon.  If you believe in something fight for it.

5. Go get back and get your friends.  One of the best lessons in the movie is near the end where one of the ladies-Kristen Wiig goes into the tunnel to get Melissa McCarthy.  I know in my personal life, it is so easy to lose sight of your friendships.  Make a constant effort to maintain and grow friendships.

6.Our fears aren’t real. Sometimes we over imagine what could go wrong.  Take some time and determine what could go right.  I want you to focus on the good things in your life and how we live in our fears a lot of times and most of our fears are fake.  Decide today to understand that our fears aren’t real.

Are You Scared???

scaredAre You SCARED???  Many times I have found myself scares.  Usually it is because of things that never happen.  I true challenge can cause you to be scared.  But when you decide it is time to deal with this fear so I can move ahead it causes you to get some GRIT.

You see when it time to completely change your life, you must do it SCARED!!  That is the only way that you can move ahead.

The pure emotions that you get when you are SCARED, help you get into action.  When you know you have no other options, you will move or be rolled over.

It’s okay to be SCARED.

Book Review-Motivated for Greatness

arletta.l.moore_1466715733_86I purchased this book on Saturday and finished it on Sunday.  It was very engaging and thought provoking.

These are the 6 reasons to read this book:

  1. Arletta learned from her abusive mom that sometimes things DON’T get better. Her story of her childhood was sad and left me in tears.  I could not believe a biological mom could treat her child so poorly.
  2. Children remember the pain from their youth.  I can’t remember much from my childhood but Arletta was able to recount vivid details of the abuse she suffered.  Not only did she remember but she saw how it changed the course of her life.
  3. Arletta realized that her behavior was directly related to the abusive that she suffered.  Many times people act out to replace the hurt that they are experiencing.
  4. Arletta found out that God has a purpose for her life.  A change occurred when Arletta made this great discovery that God had not forgot her and he is directing her life.  Her plan began to get clearer everyday.
  5. Change happens when we truly desire change.  We must get rid of some stuff to go further in life. So many things hold us back, our attitude, our doubts and our lack of belief are the major reasons that we don’t walk in our greatness.
  6. Work on changing you.  If I had to sum up the book I would say you can change your life if you go to work.  Work on you everyday. Find a book, a CD or podcast you can get training on the move, while you going about your daily schedule.

If you want to make a major change, go and purchase: MOTIVATED FOR GREATNESS.

Life is a Box of Chocolates-You NEVER Know What you will GET!

box of chocolates

This statement was made famous in the Forrest Gump movie.  I had no ideal this statement would be so true in my life.

Life is filled with twists and turns.  You can’t ever really prepare yourself for what is going to happen in the future. If you anticipate great things happening, it makes it so much easier when you are faced with things that are not so great.

I want to encourage you to be strong in what you believe.  Have unwavering faith that what you need and want will come to pass in your life.  It is this faith that allows you to accept anything that comes your way.

Be thankful for everything and then it will not matter that: LIFE IS A BOX OF CHOCOLATES-YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU WILL GET!

Present Distractions Prevents Future Attractions

distractions

Present Day Distractions Prevent Future Attraction.  This is so true, many times we are so distracted about what everyone else is doing that it causes us to not properly plan for our future.

I want to encourage you to take time to work on your own future and not get caught up in the activities of others.  It is easy to be interested in what others having going on in their social media accounts.  Take time to sit back and figure out how your life can be better and you can take action on your current ideals and dreams.

Movie Review-Central Intelligence

central.intelligence

This movie was so good to me on yesterday.  I love an exciting storyline and it did not disappoint.

Top 6 points to remember in life highlighted in this movie:

  1. You are the STAR of your own story. It is your story and you will be the STAR either way.  Sometimes we feel our life is not what we desire it to be but we must keep on moving on regardless how we feel.  We must be an active participant in our life because we are the STAR.
  2. You have MORE inside than you think you do. When faced with adversity, we must dig our heels in the sand and stand.  No shaking no doubting it’s time believe in yourself and walk in your destiny.
  3. You can change your body if you want to. In the movie Bob one of the main actors, changed his body from fat to fit.  Change can happen in an instant.  Change is a decision and anything can happen when your mind is made up.
  4. You might have high school friends searching for you. I love Facebook and the ability to connect with people from long ago.  I suggest that you accept all friend requests and if the person does not show themselves freely you can delete them.
  5. Use your gift to get ahead.  Many times your vocation can be used to help you in other areas.  Don’t under estimate your skills to help in other areas.
  6. Winning is in your future.  Decide you will win and move in that direction everyday.  Operate as though you have already won!

Monday Book Review-I Won’t Apologize I Did It On Purpose!

carol.book

I LOVE reviewing books from friends, not because I like them so much, it helps me get to know them deeper.  This book was a good guide for any woman wanting to really get to know themselves and God.

This are the 6 tips that I picked up from the book:

  1. Of the 14 women described in the book, most women can relate to 1 of them.  These stories from biblical women have a common day relevance to our lives.  Which one of women do you relate with???
  2. Have you found your purpose? Your purpose has been divinely inspired by God.  When you don’t follow the path that God has for you, your life experience might not be as pleasant as it could be for you.
  3. We have all experienced being broken, but we must go to the “Hall of Faith”.  Do you believe that God can your situation around???
  4. If your stones never get turned, you will not grow. Guess what you must acknowledge your challenges in your life so you can deal with your issues.
  5. God knows everything, but! What are you hiding???  You know what???  God knows everything that you are hiding.  You can’t have secrets from God. Just be honest with yourself and others.
  6. Let it GROW! In order to achieve anything or change anything in our life we must get into action.  First decide you want a change, second formulate a written plan and implement.  Let me take the time to explain why a written plan is key to success.  Science has proven that information that is written on paper is the best way to make the information stick and allow your mind to process it which helps you achieve it.

If you want a great book to learn more about the purpose God gave you go and purchase this book today: I WON’T APOLOGIZE I DID IT ON PURPOSE!
