Movie Review-The Accountant

the-account

This movie was AMAZING!!!  The Accountant was such a well thought out movie that I was super impressed with it.  Here are the 6 lessons that I took away:

  1. Being different scares people.  Many times when people have a disabilities, people tend to shy away from them.  People can sense and feel when they are being look at and talk about.  Make sure you watch your words and your actions.
  2. What is normal??  It has to be a personal decision to define what you call normal.
  3. People are looking for you.  You never know who is watching you.  I have learned that people will watch when things are good, but OMG they are really watching when things are not going well.
  4. You must understand your financials.  Take a real good look at your numbers from day 1 and understand every dollar.
  5. There are consequences of what you discover.  You might uncover some information that might be hurtful to others.  Take time to know what is the next BEST step for you.
  6. We are all trying to connect.  PEOPLE NEED PEOPLE.  I have learned over the years, that I need people everyday in some form in my life.  Connect with others everyday.

Run to go see: THE ACCOUNTANT

What is YOUR WHY????

why.jpg

One of the best things you can do is find your WHY. Your WHY is many times rooted in some pain you have endured. That pain that you have suffered can change the trajectory of your life.

In my example in my life, losing my special needs son has given me a heart for serving people that care for special needs individuals.  That WHY has been so deeply rooted in me because I have walked that road and knowing that a loving social worker can make the road easier for those who need help.

Accepting your WHY can be a little bit uncomfortable if you don’t know how you want to be in the space of engaging in your WHY.  If you find that it is difficult to see how you can benefit others, it might not be your WHY.

When you operate in genuine authenticity, you will have easily sailing. You will know that you are on the right road.

Do yourself a favor and find out: WHAT IS YOUR WHY?

Micro Content is Queen!!!

micro.content

I realized that I am a different.  There are very few people that think like I do.  So when I find someone that thinks like I do, I gravitate to them.  Some of you might be wondering what is micro content??  It is a small amount of content.  I learned from Tanya Smith @ Snack sized Marketing and Grant Cardone, that it should not take a lot for people to get it.  I really like a lot of information but I don’t want to spend a lot of time learning it.  I find myself judging rather I will read something with the following filters: Does it have a picture that interests me?? and Is it a small amount to read??  For example if the facebook post does not have a picture I probably will not read it, everything is better with a picture.  I have gained so much knowledge with the short videos and blogs that I have digested in the last year.  I want you to evaluate if you want to add Micro Content to you life, so you can join me in saying: MICRO CONTENT IS QUEEN!!!
