brand.youTom Peters wrote this book in 1999 and it is still even more relevant today.  The ideal of branding yourself if you work for a large corporation, small company or for yourself, is CRITICAL.  Today’s marketplace is very crowded with a lot of people doing the same business, but what I have found is the person that stands out from the crowd is the one who really can build a business.  So this branding advice is so needed and these 50 points were EXCELLENT tips to help you STAND UP & STAND OUT.  If you are wanting to be a better employee and possibly get promoted or start your own business, learn everything you can about Branding and get this book: THE BRAND YOU 50 today.

This time a year ago, my first book was launched.  Yes I was able to get published after years of sharing with others verbally I decided that I would join 11 other women and share my share of entrepreneurship by writing.  I love sharing with others but when I realized everything that I shared is so vital to exceeding your expectations, it was a game changer.  There might be 1 or 2 times in your life that you experience a game changer, when it happens might sure you learn the lesson. I know this for sure, one of the major reasons most people stay in the same place every year is the they lack a guided plan. Now that plan can be given to you by another person or you can figure out that plan-either way you must have a plan. when you experience something in your life that can shift the game for you, please take note.  Writing a book and having that book become a BEST SELLER on AMAZON was a definite SIGN that all things can work out when you BELIEVE and WORK! I want you to be able to say: YES I DID THAT!!!

Feel Your Way Into A Decision-Before You Think Your Way Out of an Opportunity

While reading DeDe Murcer Moffett’s book a little while ago, I latched on to this statement that DeDe reinforced.  Feel your way into a decision before you think your way out of an opportunity.  This statement was so profound and it helped me see how we talk ourselves out of opportunities because of our lack of believe and our lack of action.  You see when we are given an opportunity we need to search deep into our soul, into our gut and see what we feel about that decision.  When we go with our gut decision we are generally right.  I want you to reconsider decisions now with your feelings.  You can over think things so many times that we never consider if everything could go right. Change your thinking, start to believe that everything will work out for the good.  Let your gut tell you what to think.  I want you to: FEEL YOUR WAY INTO A DECISION BEFORE YOU THINK YOUR WAY OUT OF AN OPPORTUNITY.

Micro Content is Queen!!!

I realized that I am a different.  There are very few people that think like I do.  So when I find someone that thinks like I do, I gravitate to them.  Some of you might be wondering what is micro content??  It is a small amount of content.  I learned from Tanya Smith @ Snack sized Marketing and Grant Cardone, that it should not take a lot for people to get it.  I really like a lot of information but I don’t want to spend a lot of time learning it.  I find myself judging rather I will read something with the following filters: Does it have a picture that interests me?? and Is it a small amount to read??  For example if the facebook post does not have a picture I probably will not read it, everything is better with a picture.  I have gained so much knowledge with the short videos and blogs that I have digested in the last year.  I want you to evaluate if you want to add Micro Content to you life, so you can join me in saying: MICRO CONTENT IS QUEEN!!!

Share Your Story-Include the Pain

One of the best things about writing a book, is the ability to share your story with others. What is even better is when you have the courage to share your pain. Many times what we hid from others is the very thing that can help us stand out from the crowd.  For over 20 years, I never shared the story of my special needs son that passed away.  Many people knew I had a love for the special needs population but they did not know why.  When I shared the story of pain, I began to connect on a deeper level of people.  I began to see my story as a way to help other people.  As a result of sharing the story, many people gained strength and I was able to use my pain to help others.  Sharing my story gave me another business because it helped fine tune my business-Sheryl Jones-Queen of Hearts.  I have been able to help corporate women identify the life the would love to have and make a plan to obtain that life.  That gives me great joy to help others begin to fall in LOVE with the LIFE they are living.  Please SHARE YOUR STORY-INCLUDE THE PAIN!

loving.yourselfThis book has a way of making you look at every area of your live and evaluating your self love.  Many things we do stop us for really caring for ourselves.  It takes more time away from things we can do to help our own body become better.  I have a great example of this in my life, spending so much time working that I do not exercise.  Every new year we vow to do better for ourselves.  Now is the time, I pulled this book out because I purchased it over 2 years ago and the title encouraged me to look at it again.  We have things in our life that we can make better if we just love ourselves first.  It time to get rid of the excuses and learn THE ART & SCIENCE OF LOVING YOURSELF FIRST.

I wanted to give you a personal HAPPY NEW YEAR message today.  The word HAPPY is a state of mind, it is so important to you determine what makes you happy and go for that everyday of your life.  The next word is NEW–that implies that you are starting over with another chance.  New is wonderful because all of the old decisions, mistakes and wrong moves are in the past.   The next word is YEAR it’s another 12 months that you are anticipating to having.  On a side note, I want you to plan for 12 months but understand that you only have right now.  Do everything in your power to make your dreams come true now.  If you are anything like me, you are anticipating MIRACLES for 2016, so I say to you: HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

2015.review

Take time today and look at 2015.  Review your good and your bad and your ugly.  Many times looking back at situations, it is not as bad as we thought it was.  When we learn from our mistakes the lesson propels us to another level.  With the knowledge of what went wrong, we have great insight on what we can do differently to succeed.  In 2016 promise yourself that you will live like everything you touch will come true.  When you live from a place of courage, anything can happen.  Please look at 2015 IN REVIEW.

Power Cycle-Believe It-See It

Believeit.seeitIf you could wave a magic wand and change anything in your life, I wish you would follow the POWER CYCLE automatically.  Without a thought you could always believe in whatever you choose to accomplish before you see it.  When you but the belief into motion first, you will begin to see it quicker.  One of the best ways to activate this Power cycle is to get some vision boards and vision books made.  In my office I have 3 vision boards on my wall and 1 vision board by my computer.  In addition I made a 38 page vision book that I carry around with me.  In 2006, I had vision boards and a vision book and everything that I desired came true.  I am ready to follow this plan for 2016.  Please decide to follow the POWER CYCLE-BELIEVE IT-SEE IT!!!

I have learned so much from Miss Robbie on the Sweetie Pie’s show on the OWN Network.  One of the best statements she has ever made has been “If It Don’t Make MONEY, It Don’t Make Sense”. The first time I heard it I was a little taken back because I wanted to defend all of the things that I do in the name of business.  I quickly realized that being busy is not making money. As I look at 2015, all the good the bad and the mistakes that I have made.  I want to ensure 2016 will be much better, I had to go back to Miss Robbie and her true statement.  We can get involved in so many groups, purchase so much stuff that we never make a dollar in our business.  I want you to filter every dollar before you spend it.  Please know: IF IT DON’T MAKE MONEY, IT DON’T MAKE SENSE!
