Monday Book Review-In the Fast Lane

My Monday Book Review-In the Fast Lane.  Here are my 6 lessons that I got from the book:

  1. Allow God to change your heart.  Marsha admits that life has not been easy in the fast lane but God had his hand on her life to save her and allow her to end up in a beautiful place.
  2. Your breakthrough might be at the end of your rope.  Marsha had some situations that could have caused her to be angry with everyone but she decided she was going to change.
  3. If you have a dream-don’t give up. Marsha is still working on multiple goals in her life.  You win some and you lose some but you must continue to go for your goals.
  4. You must get out of your comfort zone.  When you agree to operate out of your comfort zone, good things start to happen.  
  5. We all have a past, Marsha just happened to be bully.  If you speak to her today you will realize that those skills served her well.  Now she has confidence to do anything and being a bully might have helped her become a strong woman.
  6. Spring into Action-I took this chapter personally, because I can be the Queen of GREAT Ideals.  But if you never take ACTION, those ideals are just doodling.  I love this action word-Spring because you can do that over and over again.  If you are down you can spring into action right now today.  If you are already into action, you can spring to another level.  If you are under performing, you can spring into a better plan.  JUST SPRING!!!!!

If you have a business and you have not worn out your shoes, don’t complain that your business does not work.  You have not put enough into your business if you have not turned every stone in marketing for your business.

I spoke with a very successful entrepreneur today and he  shared with me that he never feels that he is above guerrilla marketing.  Meeting face to face is key to business success.  I have decided to go back to the old way of marketing my upcoming event.

If you don’t exhaust all the options for business success you can’t blame anyone for the lack of success in your business.  Many times we loose sight to really good ways to market your business for low or no cost.  I have invested so much in marketing, for the next 3 months I have using low or no cost techniques but I will WEAR OUT MY SHOES!!

This guy Stephen R. Covey was a POWERFUL MAN!  Here are my 6 attributes about Stephen R. Covey:

  1. He was a MASTER at encouraging others to be their personal BEST.  “Accountability breeds response-ability”.
  2. He was one of the leaders in personal development. “I believe in  a system of some kind for self-education”.
  3. He always believed that change is unavoidable. ” There are three constants I life: “Change, Choice and Principles”.
  4. It’s your own fault. “I am what I am today because of the choices I made yesterday”.
  5. Synergy is key to success. “Synergy values the differences of others. One plus one equals three or more”.
  6. You can’t see with out VISION. “Begin with the end in mind”.

This picture was my very first time to autograph my book.  It made me feel like I was on top of the world. What I realized more than anything from this photo is DREAMS do come true. 

I had been waiting my entire life for someone to recognize my gift for writing.  You see I have always known that I love to read, write and speak but my personal fear kept me from doing the very things that I loved. Do you have something that you are not doing because NOONE has said you are good at it??  Today is the day, I am telling you–YOU ARE GOOD AT IT.  I was 49 years old when my first 2 books came out in 2015, how many books were in my past thoughts that were never published.

Don’t wait if you want something, go get it.  If you feel something, go tell the person.  If you know something, go share it. Just don’t WAIT for anyone to give you permission to do anything.  Life is truly fleeing so choose to live everyday like it is your last.  You will add so much joy to your life and find fulfillment for going after your dreams.

Rear View Mirror

Have you ever wondered why the rear view mirror is so small??  It represents the place you just left.  It’s like our life, so many of us are looking back on past situations, relationships, opportunities and jobs that are no longer available for us.  The design of the rear view mirror gives us the plan for our life, focus on what is ahead of you.  The biggest place in the car if the windshield.  You see the windshield is there to protect the driver from all the junk that can cloud our vision.  Same thing in life, many things can pull us back to looking to the past.  I want you to know the PAST is GONE!!!  It’s okay, what’s done is done and we can’t change it. Don’t spend your entire life looking in the REAR VIEW MIRROR!

Write theVision, Make it Plain

In Habakkuk 2:2 the scriptures say this:

2 And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.

Most people use this scripture to say you write your goals down, I agree with them however I think the MOST important part of this scripture is HE MAY RUN that readeth it.  That means that ACTION is necessary to be obedient to this scripture. I know many people that are living the life they LOVE.  At times, I am not manifesting what I want either, but when I evaluate the situation I realize that I am not RUNNING to my GOALS-sometimes I never think about my goals.  So if 2015 does not end the way I desire, guess what??  It’s my fault because the plan is laid out ahead of me.  I have no excuse to not be operating in the MOST amazing season in my life.  My lack of action at times, will be the culprit.  The inability to produce is a direct result of our actions.  Join me today in making a change, don’t wait until January 1st to make that change, start now.  I want you to REALLY Write the Vision and Make It Plain!!!!
