As most of you know I am a social worker, so I bet you can guess that I am a feeler. It is critically important to know how people think when you interact with them or you will spend a lot of time getting your feelings hurt.

Generally a persons brain is wired to be one way or the other way.  It might be something that you have never noticed or you might dismiss it to say: That person speaks their mind, or they will tell you the truth, even if you don’t want to hear it.

I found that most people that I interact with are feelers so we have little or no problem communicating.  During those times in my life that I have dealt with thinkers, I can usually just decide to be quiet and allow them to express their opinions.  Honestly in the last few years, I have been exhibiting some thinkers actions and attitudes.  I have found that I can be a good mix for both mind processing styles.

If you find yourself unable to communication with the opposite style of person, just take some time to realize that they are just wired that way and usually they don’t mean to be hurtful.

Take time to identify if you are a: FEELER OR THINKER.

One of my favorite virtual mentors is Eric Thomas.  He is a master of making information STAND OUT.  This statement is so true, Information Changes Situations.  You see when you are seeking something, what you really want is information.  With that information you can change your situation.

 Let me be the first to say that many times we might not do a great job giving information, so let this be an area of improvement for you.  Learn how to get better at giving information.  I have been studying writing content for various websites, sales pages and blog posts and what I am learning is information should have the same meaning no matter who decides to read it.

If you have a situation that you are currently dealing with, always remember that: INFORMATION CHANGES SITUATIONS.

If you have known me a while, you know I LOVE-LOVE to host events and parties.  I picked up this book.  This author is from Austin Texas and I love her simplicity and elegance.  Styling is similar to branding so I want to share my thoughts on how it compares. My definition of a brand is your mission statement in action.  It’s how you show the world who you are and what you provide.

When I read information and add my own twist to it so this is how I see this book:

1. Know your strengths and passions.  When entertaining we should know which duties we love to complete and get help for the other duties.  In Branding-make sure that you spotlight what makes you unique.  Your uniqueness can be defined by your strengths and passions.
2. Determine your vision. In entertaining make sure that you have a vision of what you want your dinner or event to look like before it begins.  I have a vision for events so I plan 12-18 months in advance. In branding know what you want people to think when they think of your name.  
3. Write it down.  In entertaining, I always have a flow chart especially for events, it is critical. In your branding, everyone should know what you provide and how you serve.  Printing your mission statement out and adding it to your printed material is a great ideal.
4. Be clear on what you are saying.  In entertaining, if you desire your guests to do something, tell them.  Be clear on expectations.  For example if you must be present to win, say that.  In branding, everyone should know how you make them feel by your actions.
5. Do you appreciate others? In entertaining, make sure you thank people for coming over or to the event.  In branding, have a customer appreciation system.
6. Think of the details.  In entertaining make sure you add a little extra’s-like a cool knife holder or personal gift.  In branding-what makes you stand out from others.  Make sure you appreciate what is different about you.

Do you BELIEVE the SKY is the LIMIT??  If you don’t start today.  The only way you will ever achieve the success you desire is to change your mindset. If you believe you are limited you will be.  I have taken every limitation off of my life and I am living in total belief that everything that I desire will happen without a shadow of a doubt.

If you ever want to get into the Land of Abundance it requires you to make a SHIFT.  It might take a little bit of work to change your thought but it is worth it.  I am making major SHIFTS in my business and life weekly.  Join me on the journey to prove: THE SKY IS THE LIMIT!

Although this picture speaks to teenagers, this statement is extremely true for adults as well.  Everyone has times in their lives were things change.  People grow up, learn more, develop new habits and many times change what they like.  If we don’t maintain a relationship with our friends, co-workers and families, we might find that our rules turn into a rebellious relationship.

If want to be better leaders or if we truly want to inspire those around us, let’s work on our relationships.  In life everyone will change to some degree.  It might be that you get older and want to express yourself more or you might get more withdrawn.  As a good friend, watch the changes that happen with your friends.  If you notice something is out of the norm for that person, as them to get some help or better yet go with them to get some help.

In this extremely busy world, that some time to work on the important things and RELATIONSHIPS are one of those things.  Make sure that your life includes great health, wealth, a peaceful mind, a spiritual centered mind and great relationships.  If you have all of these I truly believe you can make the rest of your life be the best of your life.   Always remember: RULES WITHOUT RELATIONSHIP=REBELLION.

Are Arrows being SHOT at YOU??  If so be encouraged because that means that you are IN FRONT.  It is no accident that the more you advance, the more problems come your way.  The bible states “To Whom MUCH is given, MUCH is required”.  Several rappers say “More Money, More Problems”. 

If you find yourself being shot down every day GET EXCITED.  I truly believe when things are difficult for you and everything seems to be not going right, you are being challenged to go to another level.  During every difficult season in my life, something GREAT happens right after that time.  I want to give you the HOPE that TROUBLE DOES NOT LAST ALWAYS.  The rain will stop in your life.  The arrows will stop coming for you, the shooters will get tired when they see that you will not be stopped.

Just always remember that IF ARROWS ARE BEING SHOT AT YOU, THAT MEANS YOU ARE IN FRONT.

The MondayBook Review-Sales Secrets of the Left Eye.  This book is  must read for all aspiring speakers.  If  you want a competitive edge in the field of speaking it is this book is simply a GREAT Tool to go forward in your career.  Storytelling is an needed part of any GOOD speech, I am going to even state that a speech can be OUTSANDING with the addition of impactful stories.

This book is a great way to learn how to provide a great speech.  The stories are really good examples of how we can take information and make it interesting for an audience. The examples shared allow you to imagine your own life.  The techniques and skills help build confidence which can lead to closing sales easily.  If you are committed to learning skills to enhance your speaking this book has just the right amount of information to help you start or jumpstart your career.

Don’t Get Caught Up in the Lazy Days of Summer!  The minute it gets really hot outside many people shut down.  I have met 3 people this week that stated that they will wait to September to work on a new project.  NO-NO-NO a TON of people are thinking just like that and they are slowing down.  The summer is an opportunity to LEAD the pack in business and stick out from others.

If you want to obtain and maintain a edge on your competition, I suggest that you continue to plan and implement on your ideas.  When you walk in full confidence anything is possible with a little planning and implementation.  These are the days that you must work smart and not hard.

Let’s break down a success plan, what if you decided that you wanted to have a presence in writing.  You could take the summer to plan and develop a blog, find out some blogs that you could be a guest writer and write several articles for various magazines.  It just takes time to decide what you want to do to add another area in your business.

I’m pleading with you to work hard and DON’T GET CAUGHT UP IN THE LAZY DAYS OF SUMMER.

In this busy world we have lost the art of talking.  So many people are rushing to NETWORK that we don’t TALK anymore.  Scientist say the American population in particular are losing the art of talking and getting together with others.  

Technology has given us so many great things but it has really taught us to not engage with others.  The next time you go to dinner look around most people are on their telephones and will not look at the people around the table very much.   I am shocked because I don’t see the point in going anywhere if you will not talk when you get there.  Stay home if you are just going to use the phone.  Going out has a purpose–it’s time to engage with others and have fun.

Are you lacking time talking to others???  I know I am, I spend so much time working and making a difference in others lives that I need to schedule time to talk to others just about life and having fun.  The new Sheryl has decided I will take time to talk to others. 

The biggest decision that you must make is: WILL YOU TAKE TIME TO TALK???
