I must confess, I know very little about basketball, however I do know when the guy gets in the center and all eyes are on him to TAKE THE SHOT!

That is so true in life, we must take the shot.  Many times in life we are given opportunities and these opportunities require us to go into action, we must make a step forward.  I know in my own personal life, I have had many times where I needed to Take the Shot. 

When we hesitate and decide not to take the shot, sometimes we get a bad results.  Our lack of decision or our lack of action causes us pain when it might not have ever been necessary.  Okay what if we take the shot and miss???  Well at least you have attempted to go forward.  I know taking the shot helps you build your skills.  Michael Jordan says “I’ve missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I’ve been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.”

You see trying something over and over causes you to get really good at it.  So I encourage you today to: TAKE THE SHOT.

This book was a NEW & FRESH thought about marketing for me.  It was a methodical way of looking at marketing and ensuring that you can have a physical checklist for your marketing.

Ok this book was more technical for me and it added a psychological approach to thinking about marketing.  The author states it this way: Precision Marketing allows you to use data driven insight to deliver the right message, to the right person at the right time via the right channel.

So it really helped me understand why I can look at a video/commercial and that same company can show up in my Facebook feed.  I love that type of subtle messaging.  This book makes a good point that the consumers are in control in todays buying cycle.  When you realize that 91% of people opt out of mailing lists, we should not take offense.  We should work diligently to find the RIGHT 9% of people to be in our tribe.

Many times when a door closes for us we get very upset.  I want you to FLIP the script when a door closes I want you to immediately get very EXCITED because what I have learned is that DOOR was not meant for you or the time is over. 

Sometimes our plans don’t necessarily fit our outcomes or what we think it should be.  What if God is protecting you from something you can’t see.  What if his protection scans longer and further than you imagine and this closed door can spare your life?  It occurred to me after experiencing a great loss-I thought but now looking at the whole picture, I realized that God was truly protecting me from Tremendous STRESS that could have KILLED me!

So now I just say Thank You God when I get A CLOSED DOOR!

Many times you have projects, assignments or jobs where you want to move ahead. With the information on the internet, masterminds and coaching being so overwhelming it’s important that you learn how to FOCUS.  The very BEST way to get focus and maintain your focus is to ask yourself: What is the NEXT best STEP??

You see when you ask yourself a question, the brain goes to work to solve that question. If you think about only your next step it will be so easy to just get it done.  You will start to develop other ways to complete the goal you previously had not thought about.  If you make a decision, I will do X–write down a detailed plan to complete X.  Break down the steps by asking yourself questions.  When the questions are answered, you will be surprised how you can conquer your goal.

My best lesson learned that is resulting in good results, is asking myself:  WHAT’S THE NEXT BEST STEP???

What go thru you head when you see this image???? The main thing that I want you to think about is: IT IS MY TURN!!!  We can see so many things as we look on social media, it can make us a little sad if we are not operating in the area that we feel we should be. But I challenge you to KNOW It’s YOUR turn.

If you have doubt, you will not achieve your goal.  I want you to start with your belief.  Belief is the number one KEY to success in your life.  When your belief is activated, you get into MASSIVE action to create the things that you desire in your life. Can you hear my saying: It’s YOUR turn???  I want you to hear that everyday.  I want you to realize and feel the emotions on how you will respond when what you are seeking actually happens. 

If you have any reservation just know that self-doubt will come but you have to be the master of creating your own outcome.  When you begin to hear the negative messages from the inside and outside, choose to IGNORE it.  You see most people love misery.  Honestly when you are doing good, most people are secretly jealous.  This is proven with social media every day.  If someone post a picture of company that they have begun to work with as an independent consultant–the response is very small.  But if the small person post a picture of the “I JUST GOT THE JOB” they get some many congratulations. 

So now that the time to let this message sit in your soul: IT’S YOUR TURN!

I got a chance to be in the audience this weekend where Tory Johnson was speaking.  I loved her presentation and it really explained this book. 

This book I come to find out is not a “how to lose weight book” but a “let me SHIFT my life book”.  This book works on “real you” its more of a life book to look at how you handle situations.  Do you use food to comfort you??  Tory realized she used food to celebrate and sooth her when bad things happened.  Not only did she do this in her adulthood, but she realized that she had this behavior during her childhood.

Tory shared that YOU must learn to celebrate everyday and know that life is short.  The book really speaks very little of her diet or specific steps to weight loss.  I found the book more about helping YOU change your mindset to change your life. Now I see why she says: How I finally lost weight and discovered a happier life.  You see her book gives life tips to make a SHIFT that will last a lifetime.

I want you to pick up this book not to lose weight but I want you to make: THE SHIFT!

I am SUPER EXCITED today to be at the EPIC conference in Oklahoma City.  I get so EXCITED when I have an opportunity to INCREASE my knowledge. If you have not treated yourself to an educational program/class/conference NOW is the time. 

I think the stats are about 70% of all people leave their education to the schools and universities.  This is a huge mistake!  We must constantly get better on a weekly, monthly or yearly basis.  The easiest way to start is by reading.  Once you START learning it will be hard to STOP!

If you want to be a PRO at something you must invest time learning about it.  The experts say that you must invest 10,000 hours in something to make you an EXPERT.  I really want you to know that those hours are not out of reach, keep working on your craft and it will appear.

I want you to realize that: SCHOOL IS NEVER OUT FOR THE PRO!

When you look at these glasses, I bet you think the one with the dirt at the bottom is the best one.  First of all, I want you to think of the dirt as your activity toward success in life. 

When the dirt is mixed up, that as you working activevly on your goals.  You have yourself in multiple ways and areas to succeed in business.  If I can share anything in business or life, PLEASE don’t just do ONE THING.  I know you most guru say burn the bridge. However my experience has taught me YOU MUST HAVE MULTIPLE STREAMS of INCOME.  But I do agree only focus on one thing at a time.  For example if you are a writer completing a book, block off several hours per day to just write. You can spend other time during the day, doing other things.

When you get settled in your life, you just give up and decide that it’s okay what I currently have.  When the dirt stops moving, you are in trouble.  Your settling might not happen immediately but trust me, the dirt will settle and you will not have any movement in life and/or business.  When this happens, I don’t want you to fall apart, I want you to pick yourself up and get started working.  This time work like you need SUCCESS today!!!  Work from morning to night, and then find your happy space because when you find that spot stay there. 

My life is so well planned that I get excited just thinking about it.  I am planning to retire in 9 years and 7 months exactly.  And when I say retire I mean I will not actively seek business, my goal is to have 6 areas of revenue flowing into my business for the rest of my life. 

When you settle you rid your life of your BEST work.  I know without a shadow of a doubt that everything is designed for a reason and now the light bulb has come on in my life.  I know what I am working so hard right now.  I will not settle for what is happening–I know a CHANGE is coming.  So I ask you: ARE YOU SETTLING????

The Path in Life is not always straight.  There will be curves and sometimes the light will even go out.  It is super important to know where you are going at all times.  Even when the darkness surrounds you, if you WORK the PLAN, you can make it!

Having the belief that all things will work out is the key to success.  As soon as you believe, everything else falls into place.  The number of curves, dips and dark places on the path to success helps develop the “stick-to-it” attitude that you need to succeed.

If you find yourself on the path and it starts to curve on you, take comford in knowing that things are getting ready to change.  It might get better or it could get worse, but either way a CHANGE is coming.  After 3 years of getting worse, I have decided that 2016 will be the year of miracles for me because I am changing things to address the worse that has shown up in my life.  Instead of waiting for more bad stuff to appear, I am taking action in a totally new direction.  This direction will allow me to see business differently, it will give me a FRESH Perceptive and a new Enthusiasm to succeed.  Don’t allow a closed door to paralyze you for 3 years like it has done for me.  GET UP and GET MOVING Quickly.  That will be the key for success during a Curved Path!
