I got a chance to be in the audience this weekend where Tory Johnson was speaking. I loved her presentation and it really explained this book.
This book I come to find out is not a “how to lose weight book” but a “let me SHIFT my life book”. This book works on “real you” its more of a life book to look at how you handle situations. Do you use food to comfort you?? Tory realized she used food to celebrate and sooth her when bad things happened. Not only did she do this in her adulthood, but she realized that she had this behavior during her childhood.
Tory shared that YOU must learn to celebrate everyday and know that life is short. The book really speaks very little of her diet or specific steps to weight loss. I found the book more about helping YOU change your mindset to change your life. Now I see why she says: How I finally lost weight and discovered a happier life. You see her book gives life tips to make a SHIFT that will last a lifetime.
I want you to pick up this book not to lose weight but I want you to make: THE SHIFT!
