Don’t Get Caught Up in the Lazy Days of Summer!  The minute it gets really hot outside many people shut down.  I have met 3 people this week that stated that they will wait to September to work on a new project.  NO-NO-NO a TON of people are thinking just like that and they are slowing down.  The summer is an opportunity to LEAD the pack in business and stick out from others.

If you want to obtain and maintain a edge on your competition, I suggest that you continue to plan and implement on your ideas.  When you walk in full confidence anything is possible with a little planning and implementation.  These are the days that you must work smart and not hard.

Let’s break down a success plan, what if you decided that you wanted to have a presence in writing.  You could take the summer to plan and develop a blog, find out some blogs that you could be a guest writer and write several articles for various magazines.  It just takes time to decide what you want to do to add another area in your business.

I’m pleading with you to work hard and DON’T GET CAUGHT UP IN THE LAZY DAYS OF SUMMER.

In this busy world we have lost the art of talking.  So many people are rushing to NETWORK that we don’t TALK anymore.  Scientist say the American population in particular are losing the art of talking and getting together with others.  

Technology has given us so many great things but it has really taught us to not engage with others.  The next time you go to dinner look around most people are on their telephones and will not look at the people around the table very much.   I am shocked because I don’t see the point in going anywhere if you will not talk when you get there.  Stay home if you are just going to use the phone.  Going out has a purpose–it’s time to engage with others and have fun.

Are you lacking time talking to others???  I know I am, I spend so much time working and making a difference in others lives that I need to schedule time to talk to others just about life and having fun.  The new Sheryl has decided I will take time to talk to others. 

The biggest decision that you must make is: WILL YOU TAKE TIME TO TALK???

This movie-The Rugrats Movie was so popular in my house.  You see I was the “Hang Out” house when my children were growing up.  This is a VHS tape, I know I bet it has been a while seen you saw this. 

VHS tapes were extremely popular in the 80’s & 90’s, I made sure that I had a great collection for all the people that would come over for fun time at my house. I would have never thought that in the 2000’s the VHS tape would be phased out.

Are you extinct??? Do you realize that most things change in life.  I have noticed that the world and the way that we live is so different than 10 years ago.  I want to challenge you to GROW during this time of change.  I have made MAJOR changes in the last 3 years that has really demanded that I switch my thinking and actions to learn new things and new ways of business.

Monday Book Review-The Boxcar Millionaire

boxcar.millionaireMy weekend was filled with fun, laughter and learning.  This book I completed in about 3 hours.  I was so interesting that I could not put it down.  When you go to Barnes & Noble this book is no longer available for purchase.  I thought oh no I must have this book, I was able to find it online. 

This book is for you in you KNOW that the sales career is the most exciting area to have a career and you can change your life. The ability to sale can change your life.

Here are my 6 major takeaways among the many valuable lessons in this book:

  1. Sales is a transference of feeling about a product or idea.
  2. The rent on success is due everyday, and when you stop paying on success you start paying the rent on failure.
  3. See More, Sell More

This movie was AMAZING!!!  I did not know what to expect but it exceeded everything that I expected!!!

I want to give you what I see in the movie:

1. All will become clear in the fullness of time–Clarity will be revealed at a later time.

2. People might think you are CRAZY–your actions might take you in a direction that the crowd does not understand.

3. Tell people you are sorry when you can-Accept your mistakes

4. You only have 1 family-Honor your personal family

5. Everyday is a gift-Time waits for no one.

6. You can do the impossible-You must believe in yourself

I have been so guilty of this–all talk and no action.  Can you relate??  Many times we might go to a rally, seminar or convention and begin to say what everyone else states they want.  I want to challenge you to KNOW what you want.  When you go with the crowd, you end up just talking but not working.

If you have the courage to go after your dreams you will not succumb to all talk and no action.  Your dreams will push you into action, your dreams will have you doing things that are outside of your comfort zone. If you promise yourself, I won’t give up, you can experience your dreams in full color.

When you are tempted to share your goals and dreams with people, especially those that are in leadership, decide to hold it in until you are close to achieving that goal.  I have a massive goal for 7/1/2017, will not utter my dream to anyone until it is close to being fulfilled.

Will you join me in reversing this curse of: ALL TALK AND NO ACTION!!!

Your Life is a Puzzle

When you think about your life, I want you to consider a puzzle.  A puzzle have a lot of pieces that are fit jointly together.

As compare our lives to a puzzle because many people, situations and events will come to challenge you and will be apart of your fabric of life.   It interesting how everything happens and sometimes we try to make things fit in our lives that do not necessary match who we are and what we do.

Do you have parts of your life that does not fit??  If you find this to be true,  I want you to consider if you want to continue doing something that does not fit your life plan.  I have found when you let go of the things that do not fit you can operate in peace and things start to work out for you.

When things seem to go crazy, just remember: YOUR LIFE IS A PUZZLE!

This guy John Lee Dumas is a powerhouse.  I have learned so much from him on his daily podcast Entrepreneur on Fire.  If I had to attribute any of my success to anyone, John Lee Dumas would definitely be one of the people that has shaped my life in 2016.

This statement is so true because if you lack boldness you will not be able to accomplish much.  Boldness moves you into action, it allows you to do things that you would not normally do.  I want you to think about everything you have ever done that has been GREAT-I bet you had to exhibit some boldness to complete it.

If you want a fortune you must commit to being BOLD.  You must do a lot of things that might not be comfortable for you.  You make even have to change somethings that make you act BOLDLY.  I want you to desire fortune because the more money you make, the more people you can help.

One of the best things that we can do for ourselves is continue to seek education.  I never studied for my MBA but I do have a desire for a MBA.  I want a MASSIVE BANK ACCOUNT.  What I have learned is money can help you serve a lot of people and that is what is important to me.

This book was very detailed with facts and figures and it did keep my interest because it showed you the direct correlation to applied knowledge.  If you are going to be in business Marketing is key to your survival.  They make sure that you understand what happens when you don’t focus on marketing by various case studies.

The points of the book that were priceless to me were:
1.Market research is critical; 2. Use a SWOT chart for everything-identify Strengths, Weakness, Opportunities and Threats; 3. No customers=No business; 4.Remember richness and reach.  Reach is the number of people and Richness-the experience with you, your current content, security with payments on your site, and do you customize for them?

Disciple Determines Your Destiny Not Your Desire

Steve Harvey really shared an excellent principle today that I wanted to share about today. Your DESTINY is an interesting and exciting thought.  Most people spend very little time thinking about what could happen in the future.  What I have learned, is we can’t go any further than what we believe that we can.

We must be disciplined to get into action to ensure that our destiny is what we desire it to be.  Desire alone will not cut it. If that was the case, everyone would be rich and thin.  I know many people who desire things but those things don’t happen until we make the necessary steps to achieve them.

I want you to formulate a plan of action that will fulfill your destiny.  Think about your destiny, dream about your future, make BIG plans to achieve GREAT things.  When you get that plan let’s break it down into small steps that you can work on daily. Working on these steps help your Destiny become your reality.

Steve Harvey has achieved a ton of success starting in his 50’s so don’t worry about the timeframe-just keep working.  Remember: DISCIPLE DETERMINES YOUR DESTINY NOT YOUR DESIRE.
