In November 2014, I decided that I would start to write on this blog because I want to put a positive message in the world.  If I could help 1 person this blog would be a success.  Needless to say, it’s been almost 2 years and I have had several people reach out to share how the blog has helped their life.

Are Arrows being SHOT at YOU??  If so be encouraged because that means that you are IN FRONT.  It is no accident that the more you advance, the more problems come your way.  The bible states “To Whom MUCH is given, MUCH is required”.  Several rappers say “More Money, More Problems”. 

If you find yourself being shot down every day GET EXCITED.  I truly believe when things are difficult for you and everything seems to be not going right, you are being challenged to go to another level.  During every difficult season in my life, something GREAT happens right after that time.  I want to give you the HOPE that TROUBLE DOES NOT LAST ALWAYS.  The rain will stop in your life.  The arrows will stop coming for you, the shooters will get tired when they see that you will not be stopped.

Just always remember that IF ARROWS ARE BEING SHOT AT YOU, THAT MEANS YOU ARE IN FRONT.

The MondayBook Review-Sales Secrets of the Left Eye.  This book is  must read for all aspiring speakers.  If  you want a competitive edge in the field of speaking it is this book is simply a GREAT Tool to go forward in your career.  Storytelling is an needed part of any GOOD speech, I am going to even state that a speech can be OUTSANDING with the addition of impactful stories.

This book is a great way to learn how to provide a great speech.  The stories are really good examples of how we can take information and make it interesting for an audience. The examples shared allow you to imagine your own life.  The techniques and skills help build confidence which can lead to closing sales easily.  If you are committed to learning skills to enhance your speaking this book has just the right amount of information to help you start or jumpstart your career.

Rod “The Storyteller” White is a MASTER at telling stories and coaching students on how to tell GOOD stories.  His training is compact and really insightful for anyone wanting to start or become a better speaker.  If you are desiring to be better at speaking invest in: SALES SECRETS OF THE LEFT EYE.

Movie Review-Now You See Me 2

This is movie was truly amazing.  I loved the 1st one but this one was even more ingenuous.  I love movies that cause you to think how did they do that!!!!  This movie was one just like that. 

Let me break the movie down into my TOP 6 Lessons from the movie:

  1. Prove the naysayers wrong-Many times we have people that nice things to you but they really hope that you fail, so they can say I told you so.  It’s time to prove them wrong.
  2. Are you the LEAK???  Are you the person that keeps sabotaging your business, your relationship, you employment or your life in general.  Many times we don’t realize but our words can cause so much grief in our life.  Some times you need to look in the mirror and realize that you are the LEAK.
  3. Desperate people will do anything.  I had a good friend tell me one time-business can’t be done when you are in desperation.  At the time, I wanted to punch her but I saw her point because when you are desperate you will try anything to help yourself.  Just stop and breathe and work on the plan that God gave you.
  4. You are becoming the person You are chosen to become! WOW okay so can you make any changes???  Sure but ultimately you will be the person you were chosen to be.
  5. Life is MAGIC.  Do you see the MAGIC everyday???  If you don’t open your eyes to the possibilities.
  6. People will always be watching.  I think about facebook, so many times people will not like or comment on your post but they are definitely watching to see what you will do next.  Realize that you are a celebrity because someone is watching you somewhere-embrace it and enjoy your life.

Don’t Get Caught Up in the Lazy Days of Summer!  The minute it gets really hot outside many people shut down.  I have met 3 people this week that stated that they will wait to September to work on a new project.  NO-NO-NO a TON of people are thinking just like that and they are slowing down.  The summer is an opportunity to LEAD the pack in business and stick out from others.

If you want to obtain and maintain a edge on your competition, I suggest that you continue to plan and implement on your ideas.  When you walk in full confidence anything is possible with a little planning and implementation.  These are the days that you must work smart and not hard.

Let’s break down a success plan, what if you decided that you wanted to have a presence in writing.  You could take the summer to plan and develop a blog, find out some blogs that you could be a guest writer and write several articles for various magazines.  It just takes time to decide what you want to do to add another area in your business.

I’m pleading with you to work hard and DON’T GET CAUGHT UP IN THE LAZY DAYS OF SUMMER.

Take TIME to Talk

In this busy world we have lost the art of talking.  So many people are rushing to NETWORK that we don’t TALK anymore.  Scientist say the American population in particular are losing the art of talking and getting together with others.  

Technology has given us so many great things but it has really taught us to not engage with others.  The next time you go to dinner look around most people are on their telephones and will not look at the people around the table very much.   I am shocked because I don’t see the point in going anywhere if you will not talk when you get there.  Stay home if you are just going to use the phone.  Going out has a purpose–it’s time to engage with others and have fun.

Are you lacking time talking to others???  I know I am, I spend so much time working and making a difference in others lives that I need to schedule time to talk to others just about life and having fun.  The new Sheryl has decided I will take time to talk to others. 

The biggest decision that you must make is: WILL YOU TAKE TIME TO TALK???

This movie-The Rugrats Movie was so popular in my house.  You see I was the “Hang Out” house when my children were growing up.  This is a VHS tape, I know I bet it has been a while seen you saw this. 

VHS tapes were extremely popular in the 80’s & 90’s, I made sure that I had a great collection for all the people that would come over for fun time at my house. I would have never thought that in the 2000’s the VHS tape would be phased out.

Are you extinct??? Do you realize that most things change in life.  I have noticed that the world and the way that we live is so different than 10 years ago.  I want to challenge you to GROW during this time of change.  I have made MAJOR changes in the last 3 years that has really demanded that I switch my thinking and actions to learn new things and new ways of business.

Monday Book Review-The Boxcar Millionaire

boxcar.millionaireMy weekend was filled with fun, laughter and learning.  This book I completed in about 3 hours.  I was so interesting that I could not put it down.  When you go to Barnes & Noble this book is no longer available for purchase.  I thought oh no I must have this book, I was able to find it online. 

This book is for you in you KNOW that the sales career is the most exciting area to have a career and you can change your life. The ability to sale can change your life.

Here are my 6 major takeaways among the many valuable lessons in this book:

  1. Sales is a transference of feeling about a product or idea.
  2. The rent on success is due everyday, and when you stop paying on success you start paying the rent on failure.
  3. See More, Sell More
  4. What comes out of your mouth determines your success or failure

This movie was AMAZING!!!  I did not know what to expect but it exceeded everything that I expected!!!

I want to give you what I see in the movie:

1. All will become clear in the fullness of time–Clarity will be revealed at a later time.

2. People might think you are CRAZY–your actions might take you in a direction that the crowd does not understand.

3. Tell people you are sorry when you can-Accept your mistakes

4. You only have 1 family-Honor your personal family

5. Everyday is a gift-Time waits for no one.

6. You can do the impossible-You must believe in yourself

All TALK and NO ACTION!

I have been so guilty of this–all talk and no action.  Can you relate??  Many times we might go to a rally, seminar or convention and begin to say what everyone else states they want.  I want to challenge you to KNOW what you want.  When you go with the crowd, you end up just talking but not working.

If you have the courage to go after your dreams you will not succumb to all talk and no action.  Your dreams will push you into action, your dreams will have you doing things that are outside of your comfort zone. If you promise yourself, I won’t give up, you can experience your dreams in full color.

When you are tempted to share your goals and dreams with people, especially those that are in leadership, decide to hold it in until you are close to achieving that goal.  I have a massive goal for 7/1/2017, will not utter my dream to anyone until it is close to being fulfilled.

Will you join me in reversing this curse of: ALL TALK AND NO ACTION!!!
